오늘은 날씨가 정말 좋았다.
유명산 등산 후 잃어버린 카드지갑을 찾으러 간 날,

남편이 “산책할래?”라고 물었다.

근처에 괜찮은 관광 스폿이 있다고 하더라.
아직 아침이었고, 집에 가기엔 좀 이른 기분이라서—

“좋아!” 하고 따라 나섰다.

 

Beautiful weather today.
The day we picked up my lost card holder

after hiking Yumyeongsan,

my husband asked if I wanted to go for a walk.

Apparently,

there’s a nice spot for sightseeing nearby.

t was still early in the morning, and I wasn’t ready to head home—

so I said yes!

 

 

 

그 동네는 언덕이 꽤 많아서

찾는 데 시간이 조금 걸렸다.

결국 도착했는데,

우리를 반긴 건 커다란 광고판 두 개.

둘 중 하나를 골라야 했다 —

쁘띠프랑스, 아니면

이탈리아 마을: 피노키오와 다빈치.

 

The area was pretty hilly,

and it took us a little while to find the spot.

Eventually, we arrived—

and were greeted by two big billboards.

There were two places to choose from:

Petite France or Italian Village: Pinocchio & Da Vinci.

 

 

나는 이탈리아에 가본 적이 없어서,

이탈리아 마을: 피노키오와 다빈치로 정했다.

거기서 쁘띠프랑스가 내려다보인다.
진짜 그림책처럼 예뻤다.

 

I've never been to Italy,

so we went with Italian Village: Pinocchio & Da Vinci.

You can actually see Petite France from there.
It’s very picturesque—like a storybook scene!

 

표를 사고 나서도 '이탈리아'로 가는 길은 계속 오르막이었다.

도착하니, 우리를 반긴 건 정말 커다란 피노키오 조각상이었다.
사진 찍는 사람들이 있어서 우리는 그냥 지나쳤다.

처음 마주한 곳은 알록달록한 골목길.

참고로 우리가 도착한 시간은 막 문 열 무렵이라서 사람은 거의 없었다.

 

After buying our tickets,

the path to “Italy” kept going uphill.

At the top,

we were greeted by a super tall sculpture of Pinocchio.
Some people were already taking photos there,

so we just kept walking.

The first thing we saw was a colorful little alley.

By the way, we got there just as they were opening—

so it was still pretty quiet.

 

 

골목을 지나니 작은 갤러리 몇 곳,

셔터를 올리던 가게들, 바닥을 쓸고 있던 직원들이 눈에 들어왔다.

바로 옆에는 다빈치 갤러리가 있었지만 아직 볼거리가 많지 않았다.
마리오네트 공연장도 들여다봤지만, 아직 문을 열지 않은 상태였다.

 

As we walked through the alley,

we passed a few small galleries,

shops just rolling up their shutters,

and workers sweeping the ground.

Nearby was the Da Vinci Gallery,

but there wasn’t much happening yet.
We peeked at the marionette stage,

hoping to catch a show—

but it was still closed.

 

언덕을 하나 더 올라가니, 베네치아풍의 예쁜 공간이 나왔다.

남편은 강제로 앉혀서 사진 한 장! ㅎㅎ 이번엔 못 도망갔지.

 

We climbed one more uphill path

and came across a charming Venetian-style setting.

I made my husband sit down for a photo—haha,

no escape this time.

 

베네치아풍 집 안으로 들어가자, 몇 가지가 눈에 딱 들어왔다.

조용하고 오래된 분위기, 어딘가 연극 무대 같은 느낌.

 

We stepped into one of the Venetian houses,

and a few details instantly caught my eye.

There was something about the mood—

quiet, old, kind of theatrical.

 

그리고 우리는 다시 언덕을 내려왔다.
위에서 보는 풍경은 정말 괜찮았다.

솔직히 볼 건 많지 않았지만,
지금 생각해보면 아이들이 오면 참 좋아할 것 같았다.

짧은 들림이었지만, 걷기 좋았고 신선한 공기까지—괜찮은 산책이었다.

 

And then we headed downhill.

The view from the top was really lovely.

There honestly wasn’t that much to see, though.
Looking back,

I think this place would be great for kids.

It was just a quick side trip—

but a nice walk, and the fresh air was a bonus!

쁘띠프랑스랑 이탈리아 마을: 피노키오와 다빈치

둘 다 포함됐어야 했다.

ㅋㅋ 솔직히 비쌌는데 말이지.

 

EDIT: Now that I think about it…
That entrance ticket should have

covered both Petite France

and Italian Village: Pinocchio & Da Vinci.

Haha—seriously, it wasn’t cheap.
